Ham Passion Tour

The Iberian Ham wins quota in Germany, a country with more than 1,600 meat specialties.

Consumers have the maximum guarantees of traceability of the product, from "dehesa" until the gourmet food reaches the tables of the main European markets

Sales of Iberian Ham will grow by 5% per year in Germany between 2018 and 2020, according to the promoters of the "Ham Passion Tour" campaign.

(October 2018) The "Ham Passion Tour" dissemination campaign promoted by Iberian Hams from Spain and the European Union (EU) has explained in Munich, from October 16 to 20, the characteristics that make Iberian Ham an example of sustainable production where quality, traceability and environmental sustainability are fundamental pillars; while showing the peculiarities of the art of knife cutting, one of the keys to tasting the Iberian Ham in its maximum splendor and to appreciate the flavors that accompany this “delicatessen.” The Munichians have supported this call, which also had a great success of participation in Berlin, from October 8th to 13th of October.

In addition to contemplating the art of cutting by the hand of professional master cutters, the residents of Berlin and Munich, tourists, media, foodies and passionate people about gourmet foods have had the opportunity, thanks to a “Ham Truck,” to taste Iberian Ham, a unique product in the world, characterized by its color, an incredible red and an unmistakable flavor, texture and aroma. A product recognized and admired wherever it goes.

Germans have a wide and varied offer of their own meat products, in no country in the world can you taste more than 1,600 different specialties as it happens in the German country. But, at the same time, the Germans are open to try other alternatives elaborated in other territories, such as Iberian Ham, characterized by its quality, traceability and sustainability. It is a delicatessen product that also allows the survival of an ecological space that would otherwise be in danger of degradation, such as the "dehesa".
