(Nov 2018) A modern "Ham Truck" or traveling truck divulges from November 20 to 24 the benefits of Iberian Hams among Basque consumers, who were able to taste one of the star products of the Mediterranean Diet. The action, organized by Iberian Hams from Spain and the European Union, has been developed in the Artea shopping center, located on the Margen Derecha of the Nervión, in the municipality of Leioa, near Getxo.
The publicity campaign "Ham Passion Tour" shows the citizens in this important commercial location, the peculiarities of the art of carving, one of the keys to taste the Iberian ham in its maximum splendor and appreciate the flavors that accompany this “delicatessen.”
Consumers, media, foodies and lovers of gourmet foods will have the opportunity to contemplate, thanks to the “Ham Truck,” how the master cutters carried out a professional meticulously and demanding activity to obtain perfect slices. It is a whole "delicacy" that also allows the survival of an ecological space that would otherwise be in danger of degradation, such as the "dehesa".
This road show will be attended by the president and director of the Interprofessional Association of the Iberian Pig (Asici), Francisco Javier Morato and Andrés Paredes, respectively, as well as Manuel González, technical director, and Jesús Pérez, Communication director of the organization .
